Double Bubblicious is a limited edition of 20 with a (real) gold leaf sub edition of 10. It's a two layer neon screen print with a giclée detail and a double hit of varnish.
Measuring 50 x 40cm, they're the perfect size to slot into your collection or make a statement all on their own.
Double Bubblicious is created from one of Sara’s original oil paintings. While Sara creates the illusion of shine through her painting technique, this exclusive print edition is actually hit with that double whack of varnish.
To top it all off, Double Bubblelicious has been framed up in style by our team in the workshop. Floated on a velvet mount with neon pink fillets and anti reflective ART glass, we think it looks look pretty fab. We’re happy to help you experiment with loads of different framing options - but we’ve had a whole lot of fun showing you how we'd do ours!
Sara has always been obsessed with a hyper polished, frictionless aesthetic, and it's there in the DNA of her practice.
Her work occupies that contradictory space. The lips are luscious and immaculate, clearly in conversation with the visual language of glamour and desire. But that perfection is also the critique.
While creating this work, Sara watched the film 'The Substance'. It's satirical portrayal of beauty culture resonated with ideas she's been exploring for years. Her paintings are a celebration and a challenge at the same time, and she's quite happy to leave the viewer holding both.
