Here at EDiT., we like to make sure there's something for everyone. There's nothing better than finding a piece of art you love and making it yours, so we've spotlighted some of our artists and picked out works from each of them that come in at £300 or under, all framed up and ready to hang.
So…. whether you're just getting into the art world and taking your first steps into collecting, after a bit of a pay day treat, or looking for that perfect gift. Here are some great pieces that won’t blow your budget!
CASSANDRA YAP
These absolutely delicious 'DELiVERANCE' minis from Cassandra Yap are bold yet delicate. Each two-colour screen print features the spread of a butterfly, with the intricate detail on its wings made up of pin-up girls.
The works feel intimate and charged while also becoming symbols of freedom, movement, metamorphosis and transformation. Cassandra balances these contrasts with skill.
jAYSON LiLLEY
Jayson Lilley's 'TATE' features his classic sun motif, a symbol of hope and movement, glittered onto a silk screen print of Tate Modern on a banknote.
Jayson is the king of printing onto the unexpected, and there's a quintessential London feel to this piece. His works are atmospheric portrayals of urban life that celebrate the personality of the places we know and love.
TALLY WALKER WARNE
Tally Walker Warne's SLUGS are fast becoming staples in our customers' homes. They look brilliant lined up along a bookshelf or climbing across a kitchen wall.
Tally draws on her lifelong love of both nature and city life to reimagine creatures that are so often overlooked or misunderstood.
And the really good news? You can pick up one, or even a pair of slugs, for under £300.
MY DOG SiGHS
My Dog Sighs is equally at home on the street and in the gallery, and 'TENDER ViSiON' brings that same vibrant energy into your home.
This double sided giclée print can be framed in a sandwich mount, with glass on both sides, allowing you to display either side whenever you fancy a change. It's a really special piece, and we think our in house workshop has done it justice with the sandwich framing.
SARA POPE
Sara Pope's minis sit comfortably in that super affordable sweet spot. 'NEON HEARTBEAT', 'SCARLET FEVER', 'CARMiNE', 'VERMiLLiON', and 'CHiLLi PEPPER' are all archival inkjet printed editions of 50.
Sara has always been fascinated by a hyper-polished, frictionless aesthetic, and it's woven into the DNA of her practice. Her work occupies a wonderfully contradictory space. The lips are luscious and immaculate, drawing on the visual language of glamour and desire, but that perfection is also the critique.
Framed in our Curator's Pick, these minis come in at under £200.
STUART FORRESTER
Stuart Forrester's wonderful ENjOY YOURSELF iT'S LATER THAN YOU THiNK prints also come in at under £300 framed. Available in two colourways, the Pink Artist's Proofs and the Yellow Main Editions, they're the perfect mix of playful and thought provoking.
Stuart loves combining the iconic with the ironic. In these limited edition prints, he layers a glitter smiley face over a printed skull, creating works that are both joyful and just a little bit dark.
NATHAN BOWEN
This is a bit of a cheeky one as they come in at £300 (not under) but we just couldn't resist showing you these...
Nathan Bowen's NO LOADiNG SiGNS are original one off works painted onto reflective road signs.
Each piece features his distinctive demons, his instantly recognisable faces with sharp triangular teeth, angular eyes and exaggerated expressions. They perfectly capture the playful energy that runs throughout his work.
