TAMMY MACKAY

Tammy’s work is deeply rooted in her upbringing in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where a uniquely free childhood sparked a lasting fascination with wildlife and creatures. Drawing on personal memory and place, she creates evocative imagery that reflects both landscape and lived experience. Working primarily with photopolymer plates and drypoint, she often combines these processes with hand-drawn or hand-coloured chine collé. Now based in the UK, her practice continues to echo the imagery and spirit of where she grew up.
