GALLERY SALES MANAGER.
Reports to: Bee Hepworth, Gallery Director.
Days of work: Tuesday-Saturday (9am-5.30pm) - will be required to work evenings at certain events.
OVERViEW.
EDiT. is a contemporary art gallery based in Greenwich, London. We have been operating for 18 months and have considerably over performed on our sales forecasts every month for the past year. We are looking for a sales focused gallery manager to join our team and help us drive the business to the next level using our 5 year growth plan, which includes a Central London space and exhibiting internationally.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking for a role with development potential - if the candidate is successful in their position there will be the opportunity to oversee several sites and projects.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years minimum in a gallery sales role, alongside the following attributes:

JOB DESCRiPTiON.
Set up a sales department for EDiT.

Put systems in place that will support the business’ scale

Design training modules - deliver during designated sessions, monitoring and developing the progress of the sales team

Nurture customer relationships through a tightly run sales funnel and post purchase communications

Feed customer insights to the marketing department
Oversee smooth running of the sales room:

Chair the weekly team meetings - reporting on successes and delivering support for assistants where needed

Support the fulfilment co-ordinator to ensure a smooth customer journey from start to finish

Ensure all operational procedures are adhered to in the salesroom at all times

Make recommendations to the gallery offer based on in-store conversations

Organise weekly rehangs - placing key works in prominent sale spots
PACKAGE.
- Salary: £40k basic salary.
- Bonus: uncapped commission - more details released on shortlisting
- 28 days holiday a year (inc bank holidays) rising by 1 day for each full year worked - capped at 33 days
- Bank holidays must be worked if required and taken in lieu.
